An AFS Experience 2

This is a continuation of my post with regards to our experiences in hosting an AFS scholar.

I have posted herein some photos where our foster daughter Camille Prudent did the first in her lifetime I guess.  This would be her memories that she would never forget here in the Philippines.

It is her first time to wash her dirty clothes, the Filipino style.  Although we have a washing machine here, but my wife taught her how to wash her clothes using her hands.  At first, my wife would rewash what Camille had washed because she felt not contended the way the latter did it.  But now, Camille has already learned the art of handwashing.

Camille loves sweet so much, especially cakes and chocolates.  She could eat all the cakes she wants without worrying the weight gain.  Thus, we have introduced to her our Filipino Mango Float, because aside from the fact that it is one of our favorite, it is also very easy to prepare.  The moment she tasted our Mango Float, she craves it for more.  Thus, my wife taught her how to prepare it.

Camille distastes Durian so much.  We let her taste it but she almost pukes.  Even durian flavored candy, she just cannot take it.  Perhaps it is the obnoxious smell.  I always tell her that Ate (that is what we call her) Durian although it smells like hell but it tastes like heaven.  She just could not understand why we love this fruit so much.  Nevertheless, we just let her pose in one of the malls of Davao City where Durian is on the background.

Fun run or fun walk is not that very popular in Europe especially in France, this is according to our foster daughter.  Thus, all of us joined in one of the fun run activities here in General Santos City.  Although we never won in the said activity, what was important was the fun we shared.

Because of the unique beauty of our Camille, she was asked to pose as a model by a photo hobbyist here in General Santos City.  Of course, we accompanied her to the area where the photo shoot took place.  It was as if we were her talent manager at that time.
