An AFS Escapade at Tuka Beach

Gwen and her Ate Camille do the awkward pose.
It is located at the relatively untouched coastline of Kiamba, Sarangani Province.  It is just a two-hour  drive from the bustling city of General Santos City.  There are available vans for hire at Bulaong Terminal of the city to transport any tourist willing to exploit the verdant scenery of Tuka.  It would only cost 200 pesos for a back and forth fare.  Upon reaching the municipality of Kiamba, you may tour around its simple and yet semi antiquated municipality.  Why I call this semi-antiquated?  It is because of its old houses that were built as early as during Japanese occupation.

It is no less than our very own World Pride Manny Pacquaio who actually popularizes Tuka Beach.  Considering that Manny is also the incumbent representative or congressman of Sarangani Province, thus, all his celebrity friends who have already visited him in the province have also set their foot prints on the white sand of Tuka Beach.  As a matter of fact, Manny built his exclusive resort within the Beach.  Of course it is off limit to ordinary tourists save to moments of selfies.

Selfie moment at our very own Manny Pacquiao's resort in Tuka Beach.
Not only this resort Manny built in the place, but he has a humble mansion in the heart of the municipality.  Of course, Manny is not residing there but only his trusted people or caretakers.  Since it is our first time in the place, we took some photo of Manny's humble mansion too.

This is one of the "small mansions" owned by Manny.

Upon reaching Kiamba, please proceed to its Tourism Office located at their awesome Lourdes Park at the baywalk part.  You would be greeted with their ever smiling officers of the day that would brief you on what to expect in Tuka.  Although Tuka Beach is located along the coastline of Kiamba, it only accessible by boat considering that it is manicured with lush and "virgin" beach forest.  You have to book your boat ride in Tourism Office for only 100 pesos per person back and forth already.

You could not buy anything in Tuka Beach as there is no sari-sari store present for that matter.  Thus, you have to bring with you anything you need for your stay there.

Everything is here about Tuka Beach.

In case you would like to have some mementos of Kiamba, they are here at their Tourism Office.

What would greet you in Tuka Beach is the clear bluish water.  The green scenery is a must-see also.

Cottages in Tuka is only 300 pesos for day while it costs 500 pesos for overnight.  It has also available rooms for unlimited occupants, 1600 pesos for non-airconditioned while 2000 pesos for airconditioned.

Relatively, Tuka Beach is semi-exclusive.  Only those tourists who would come would be the persons combing the white sand and use the floating cottage save to some caretakers who would be willing to provide some young coconuts and coconut wine.
